Clinical Investigative Medicine

Applications are requested for the position of Editor, Clinical and Investigative Medicine (CIM).

CIM is the journal of the Canadian Society for Clinical Investigation and is the only Canadian journal devoted to the breadth of clinical and translational research and clinician scientist careers. CIM is published six times/annum as an e-journal and is indexed in MEDLINE/Index Medicus by the National Library of Medicine.

As the ‘voice’ of the CSCI, CIM aims to publish original clinical and translational research, developments within clinical research and academic health science centres, and policy changes impacting health research. As the principle partner of the Clinical Investigator Trainee Association of Canada (CITAC), the CSCI, via CIM, seeks to highlight issues that affect the education and career development of clinician scientists.

The Editor, reporting to the CSCI Council, is responsible for the strategic direction and editorial management of CIM, including leadership of the Editorial Board, journal contents, adjudication of submitted articles, editing of journal contents, and publication production and standards.

The Editor will be a member of the CSCI, hold faculty status at a Canadian University, and have a strong record of scholarship including publication of peer-reviewed original research papers. It is anticipated that the Editor will devote 10-15% professional time to this role and may be at a senior or emeritus stage of an investigative career.
