The Department of Medicine, Faculty of Medicine, at University of Toronto and the University Health Network and Mount Sinai Hospital are seeking a visionary Nephrologist. The successful candidate should be eligible for a clinical full-time academic appointment at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor at the University of Toronto. Effective start date is July 1, 2015, or shortly thereafter.

The successful candidate will join a large, academically successful Nephrology Medicine Division with 20 full time Staff Physicians and large programs in peritoneal and hemodialysis and renal transplantation. The successful applicant should have expertise and specialized training in one or more of glomerular based disease, hereditary kidney disease or renal transplantation. A track record of achievement in research and skills in advanced diagnostics and proteomic analyses are essential. The applicant will be expected to develop an academic research plan aligned with our division’s strategic programs. Minimum compensation will be $250,000 per year. For the successful candidate, compensation will be negotiated and will be highly competitive with the usual income range for an academic nephrologist in the Province of Ontario.

He/she must hold MD qualifications and have, or be eligible for licensure in Ontario. Academic rank, salary and contractual arrangements will be commensurate with the qualifications and experience of the successful candidate.
