The Kidney Transplant Program in the University of British Columbia Division of Nephrology seeks candidates for an Associate Professor or Professor position in the Kidney Transplant Program. Expertise is required in the specific area of evaluating and managing kidney transplant patients. Applicants must have an M.D. or MD./Ph.D degree and should be certified in Internal Medicine and Nephrology by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada. Applicants must be eligible to be licensed and in good standing with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of British Columbia. Applicants should be middle or senior career nephrologists with at least 10-15 years of clinical experience in nephrology and transplantation. Applicants should have significant clinical research/clinical trials experience.
Clinical responsibilities may include providing clinical care for patients in both the inpatient and outpatient services as a transplant nephrologist. Research or scholarship responsibilities may include developing and/or maintaining a research program in clinical science related to transplantation.
Applicants will assume a role as a clinician, teacher and clinical scientist with a research program focused in an area related to renal transplantation.
